Baton Rouge, La (NBC33) — One local basketball team has already earned the hardware to bring back to Baton Rouge after winning a state championship on Wednesday night.

The Madison Prep Chargers, in just their third year of existence, took home the Class B state title by knocking off Simsboro 53-37.

The school from right here in the Capitol City hopes their accomplishment is felt around the area.
