BATON ROUGE, LA — The LHSAA has been enjoined by the 19th Judicial District Court from prohibiting Livonia High School from participating in the LHSAA 3A baseball playoffs and has ordered the executive director to place Livonia High School back into the playoff bracket in the way he determines to be the most reasonable.
The order does not affect any other aspect of the LHSAA’s eligibility ruling involving the student at Livonia High School.
Therefore, Livonia High School shall play Kaplan High School on Saturday, May 3, 2014 at Kaplan High School. The winner of the game will advance to play Evangel High School in the first round of the 3A baseball playoffs in Shreveport on Monday, May 5, 2014. The winner of the Evangel/Kaplan/Livonia game must play the winner of the Berwick/St. Louis game no later than Thursday, May 8, 2014.
No other parts of the 3A baseball brackets will be affected by the court order.
