Zach Tracy of Houston, Texas, leads by six strokes with a two-day total of 6-under-par 140 in the Arrowhead Junior at The Bluffs. In the Girls Division, Bailey Tardy of Norcross, Ga., maintained her lead with a two-day total of 2-under-par 144 after the second round.

Conducted by the American Junior Golf Association, the Arrowhead Junior at The Bluffs is a 54-hole stroke play competition played on the par-73 course at The Bluffs Country Club & Resort. The event features 62 boys and 24 girls, ages 12-18, from 16 states and British Colombia. The Boys Division is playing the course at 7,221 yards, while the Girls Division is playing the course at 6,214 yards.

Tracy carded seven birdies during the second round en route to his low round score of 4-under-par 69.

“I’ve knocked the ball pretty close on a lot of my second shots,” Tracy said. “I’ve been really aggressive with my putts, especially my birdie putts.”

Blake Caldwell of Ponchatoula, La., is in second place with a two-day total of even-par 146 after carding three birdies during the second round. Brandon Bauman of Las Vegas, Nev., is in third at 2-over-par 148 and Peter Thorseth of Richmond, Texas, is in fourth with a two-day total of 4-over-par 150. Tied for fifth is Jake Carter of Aiken, S.C., and Philip Heine of Madison, Miss.,

In the Girls Division, Tardy will take a four-stroke lead into Thursday’s final round thanks to three birdies on the front nine and three more on the back nine. With a round score of 1-over-par 74, Tardy is in position to grab her third career AJGA victory.

“I just want to go in there and play my game tomorrow,” Tardy said. “I don’t want to think about what the other girls are shooting.”.

Kathleen Gallagher of Greenwood, Miss., is in second with a two-day total of 2-over-par 148 after carding four birdies during Wednesday’s second round. Chaithra Katamneni of Coppell, Texas, is in third with a two-day total of 5-over-par 151.

About the AJGA

The American Junior Golf Association is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to the overall growth and development of young men and women who aspire to earn college golf scholarships through competitive junior golf. The AJGA provides valuable exposure for college golf scholarships, and has an annual junior membership (boys and girls ages 12-18) of approximately 6,000 junior golfers from 49 states and more than 50 countries. To ensure scholarship opportunities for all junior golfers who have the skill, the AJGA created the Achieving Competitive Excellence (ACE) Grant program to provide financial assistance to young players in need.

Titleist, the AJGA's National Sponsor, has been the catalyst and driving force behind the Association's success since 1989. Rolex, which is in its third decade of AJGA support, became the inaugural AJGA Premier Partner in 2004. In 2007, after 12 years of support, Ralph Lauren became the AJGA's second Premier Partner.

AJGA alumni have risen to the top of amateur, collegiate and professional golf. Former AJGA juniors have compiled more than 500 victories on the PGA and LPGA Tours. AJGA alumni include Brandt Snedeker, Bubba Watson, Webb Simpson, Hunter Mahan, Phil Mickelson, Tiger Woods, Stacy Lewis, Vicky Hurst, Paula Creamer, Cristie Kerr, Britney Lincicome and Morgan Pressel.
