BATON ROUGE, LA (NBC33) — Five-time Olympian Daniella Scott Arruba spoke to kids from Wedgewood Elementary School. The volleyball player and two-time silver medalist talked about her sports career and about the importance of a good education.
The Baton Rouge-native told the kids to work hard and they could become anything they want to in life.
"I think it's important to encourage them and let them know that you can achieve what you want as long as you have a dream," she said.
Arruba's favorite classes when she was in school were English, math, science and obviously physical education.
