Baton Rouge native Leindecker seeks spot on 2014 snowboard paralympics team
BATON ROUGE, LA — Challenges are nothing new for Calob Leindecker. At 17 years old he lost his leg in an automobile accident. Since then he hasn't looked back.
“After the accident happened, I had no idea what prosthetics were and what they were capable of,” Calob said.
Today he knows much more. In September he’ll leave his home state of Louisiana for Colorado to compete for a spot on the United States snowboarding Paralympics team.

If you want to help Calob achieve his dream his family and friends are hosting a “Treasure Sale” Saturday at Cody’s Transportation (4425 Sherwood Common Blvd) from 6 am to 6 pm. Items for sale include furniture, clothes, kids items, gift certificates from local restaurants and much more. Plates of jambalaya will be sold for five dollars as well.
