LSU will represent in Metairie this year for Mardi Gras. That’s because LSU Tigers’ Jarrett Lee and T-Bob Hebert will preside as Grand Marshals for the 55th Anniversary parade of the Krewe of Zeus.

Metairie is located in Jefferson Parish and this parade is the oldest for the area. The first parade rolled down the streets in 1958.

You can catch Lee and Hebert riding aboard one of Zeus’s signature floats along with the Muses of Zeus. Make sure to get your grab-bags ready as they’ll throw out purple and gold cups!

The parade will roll down Veterans Blvd. on Monday, Feb. 20 at 6:30 p.m.

Keep up with all things related to Mardi Gras and other holidays though out the year in the NBC33 Holiday Central. Also, make sure to tell us about the events YOUR interested to know more about by posting on the NBC33 Facebook page wall.
