The New Orleans Hornets selected Josh Harrellson from the University of Kentucky with the 45th pick in the 2011 NBA Draft and traded him to the New York Knicks for money.

 "Once all of our targeted players were selected, our focus shifted to trading the draft pick to improve our roster through other means," said Hornets General Manager Dell Demps.

The Hornets only had one draft pick in the 2011 draft.
