DUTCHTOWN, LA (NBC33) — NBC33 News has confirmed a 14 year old from Ascension Parish has died after practice at school.

School officials say the teen collapsed after practice while casually shooting basketballs, and waiting for a ride. He was taken to the hospital where he died.

The student was an incoming freshman ready to play basketball and football at Dutchtown High.
