The PGA Tour is coming back to the capitol city for the first time in four decades.

A day before the Zurich Classic starts in New Orleans, Baton Rouge will host a pro-am event. Professionals and amateurs will tee it up Wednesday, April 22nd at the University Club.

The tournament's not ready to release a list of pros that will compete yet. LSU product David Toms will be part of the field in New Orleans that weekend, but that doesn't necessarily mean he’ll play in the Baton Rouge pro-am.

Zurich Classic officials have always considered the tournament a regional event, with support from Baton Rouge, and they say the pro-am is a natural step to expand on that.
