Dunham selects Mistretta as new Football coach

BATON ROUGE, La (NBC33) - Just over a week ago Guy Mistretta was a Wolverine. Wednesday he became a Tiger. Mistretta resigned as Head Coach at Redemptorist a week ago and Wednesday he officially accepted the same job at The Dunham School.

Mistretta will take over for Joey Thibodeaux who stepped down as Head Coach in November. Mistretta will also serve as Assistant Athletic Director when he begins his new job at the school in January 2011.

In 7 years as Head Coach at Redemptorist, Mistretta compiled a 70-18 record, including a 3A State Championship in 2005. "Guy is a successful coach, has built a successful program. He is part of a rich teaching legacy at a faith-based school. He's a good man, a strong Christian. We are pleased to have found the best fit for Dunham," Dunham Headmaster Bobby Welch Said.
