The Cajuns and Tigers have met three times in program history with Louisiana winning all three meetings. The last contest came a year ago with the Ragin’ Cajuns claiming a 15-1 victory over Jackson State an in elimination game at the Baton Rouge Regional.

JSU (31-23) has won its last five contests going undefeated in the SWAC tournament to win an automatic bid into the NCAAs. The Tigers gutted out a 9-8 win over top-seeded Alabama State in the SWAC title game.

The Tigers will counter with left-hander Vincent Anthonia on the mound. Anthonia is 3-0 this season with a 3.41 ERA in 37 innings. Tilur Smith leads the team offensively hitting .344 with 16 doubles, three triples and three home runs.
