LOS ANGELES, Ca (NBC33) — Lance Armstrong is beefing up his legal team to defend him against allegations he used banned performance-enhancing drugs.
Armstrong hired two attorneys, John Keker and Elliot Peters, who say the government is trying to destroy a true hero.
Keker and Peters won a major legal victory for the Major League Baseball Players Association in a drug-doping case.
A federal investigation is underway into whether seven-time Tour De France winner Armstrong took banned substances.
