BATON ROUGE, La (NBC33) - Southern cut a 12 point halftime deficit down to five but that’s as close as they would get as the Jags lost for the 10th time this season. Micael Harvey of Xavier (12-0) had a game high 20 points and helped the Gold Rush remain unbeaten on the year.
 

Jameel Grace led Southern in scoring with 15 points. He also added three rebounds and three steals in the losing effort.
 

The Jags(1-10) try to end a seven game losing streak at home against Tulane on Wednesday.
