BATON ROUGE, LA (WVLA) Its big news for extreme sports enthusiasts here in the Capital Area!  The Perkins Road Community Park has officially re-opened.

The 52-acre BREC park has been under renovation for a few years, and now boasts many new attractions for the whole family.

There's a new skate park complete with both a pool course and a street course.

In addition, kids can climb a rock wall, ride their bikes on a BMX race track and climb the monkey bars in a brand new jungle gym.
