Satsuma woman surprises burglars with a gun

SATSUMA, La (WVLA) --Livingston Parish Sheriff's Detectives are calling it a case of the right place at the right time.
It happened last Friday afternoon in Satsuma.
Detectives say three would-be thieves tried to break in to a woman's home.
What they didn't suspect was for the homeowner to be packing a .357 magnum pistol.
Detectives say, the woman surprised the trio with the gun who then jumped into a "getaway" car.
But they say, the woman's brother met them outside who just happened to be pulling into the driveway.
A BRPD officer was able to stop the car on I-12 between Satsuma and Livingston.
