As a recovering anorexic, I am shocked by oversimplification of this story. Anorexia is a serious psychological disorder with debilitating physical symptoms. The medical studies point to much deeper underlying psychological causes than fashion photography or dissemination of fashion pics on social media. Physical and sexual abuse, child neglect, and parental alcoholism/drug use, and even a genetic predisposition are the primary factors. If images were the cause, Americans wouldn't be overweight
