The argument that marijuana is a gateway drug does not make any sense. Nearly half of the country admits to trying marijuana, but only 10% of the country admits to trying cocaine. If marijuana is really a gateway drug anymore than alcohol is (which about 80% of the country admits to trying), then some number close to the remaining 40% should have also moved on to cocaine.
