Baton Rouge is a bit of a stuffy, restricted place. I don't know if the natives here realize it, but this city doesn't offer any exciting events like parades, cultural festivals, neighborhood picnics..etc., unless it's holiday related. There are HUGE block parties all over the country..ALL OF THE TIME...LOL. U guys just need a few decades to catch up.
