In these tough economic times - senior citizens say they're getting right to tighten their belts even more.
The Social Security Administration announced Thursday seniors will not see the usual cost of living adjustment (COLA) in their checks in 2010. The increase is based on the cost of living increase nationally. Since the government says the cost of living is actually down - seniors don't need a bump in their monthly social security checks. Seniors we talked with say they could be in trouble without a little extra.
We tried to get a comment from the Social Security Administration. They didn't return our calls.
