NBC NEWS — Former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney is expected to make his formal announcement for the 2012 Presidential Election.
Romney's made it clear - he's the "anti-obama"-- Romney says that Obama is one oef the most ineffective Presidents "at the job at hand" that he's seen.
Romney will make his candidacy official in New Hampsire.
But it's not going to be easy--Romney's has to defend that President Obama's healthcare plan is nothing like the one he passed in Massachussets. Romney says "my bill was 70 pages. His bill is 2,700 pages. In those extra 2,630 pages he's doing a lot of stuff that is just devastating to the healthcare system."
But before he faces off with anyone-- he's got to first deal with Sarah Palin.
Washington Times' editorial page editor Mark Tapsott says a Sarah Palin Presidential run would be great for Romney, "it might be the best thing that can happen for Mitt Romney is for Sarah Palin to announce because then he would become a more reasonable alternative to her."
Palin still hasn't spilled the beans about her intentions despite the fact her bus tour around the country is generating a lot of buzz.
The bottom line is-- whoever runs will need a lot of money. President Obama's campaign's aiming to raise 60 million dollars just this month.
