NBC NEWS — More people are leaving the home phone behind and making calls over the Internet.
A Pew research study shows 245 of adult internet users have made at least one online call-- up 10 percent since 2007. Online calls on facilitators like Skype are free-- or cheap. Tech companies have noticed the trend.
Microsoft just recently bought Skype.
