DONALDSON, LA (NBC 33) — A fatal accident occurred Saturday, May 28 when a man from Prairieville tried to out run a train. The accident happened on LA-70 and LA-3089, a truck maneuvered around several parked cars who were waiting for the railroad crossing signal to change when he was struck by the oncoming train.
The driver, Jeremy Brassette was alive when he was taken to the hospital but his family reported Sunday that he died as a result of his injuries.
Blood samples are being sent to a lab for analysis.
