Baton Rouge, La (NBC33) — Supporters of the arts made their voices heard at the State Capitol.
With legislators looking to balance a $1.6 billion budget deficit, those who support the arts fear some of their programs could be on the chopping block.
So arts lovers from across the state made their way to the capitol today to let lawmakers know how important they feel the arts are.
They say that the arts not only improve quality of life throughout the state, but also contribute to bringing millions of tourism dollars to Louisiana.
