Japan (NBC) — Comedian Russell Brand has been deported by Japan.
Brand's wife Katy Perry said in a message on twitter that brand was kicked out of Japan because of his previous criminal history.
Perry was on a concert tour of the country and said that Brand was denied entry into Japan when he arrived to join her.
Brand, who married Perry last year, has battled drug and alcohol addiction and has been arrested numerous times.
