SLIDELL, La (NBC33) — A motorcyclist was killed Wednesday night while driving on the westbound ramp to Interstate 12 from U.S. 11 in St. Tammany Parish.
Louisiana State Police say a 2006 Harley Davidson motorcycle, driven by Paul Roudolfich, 51, was traveling west on the ramp when it ran off the road and down a steep embankment.
They say Roudolfich and his passenger, Jeltje Roudolfich, 50, were ejected from the motorcycle. Police say neither of the men were wearing DOT approved helments.
Paul Roudolfich was pronounced dead on scene. Jeltje Roudolfich received moderate injuries and was taken to the hospital.
Troopers say they don't know if alcohol or drug use was a factor in the accident. There is a toxicology test pending at the Louisiana State Police Crime Lab.
