CLINTON, La. (AP) - After an initial arrest earlier this week, East Feliciana Parish sheriff's deputies have arrested two more people accused of passing counterfeit $100 bills at local businesses.
Deputies booked 26-year-old Damien L. Ross of Clinton, on one count of monetary instrument abuse on Tuesday, and booked 31-year-old Reginald Scott of Clinton on Thursday on three counts of monetary instrument abuse.
Deputies first booked 32-year-old Antonio D. Moses of Clinton on
Monday with one count of monetary instrument abuse. Deputies said the arrest was made after recovering seven fake bills last week.
Detective Terry Miller told The Advocate of Baton Rouge the bills were printed on washed and bleached $5 notes and do not react to pens designed to detect counterfeit money.
