STORMTRACKER33 — The Governor’s Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness (GOHSEP) would like to notify you that Requests for Public Assistance (RPA) are now being accepted for the Mississippi River Flooding Event FEMA- EM-3322. Governor Jindal requested federal assistance for this event on May 5, 2011. This event was declared an incident by FEMA on May 6, 2011 under incident # FEMA-3322-EM. Completing the RPA is the first step necessary to get reimbursed for eligible Public Assistance activities performed during the incident period under the declaration The incident period started on April 25th and is continuing.
We currently have 22 Parishes to date that have declared a Parish State of Emergency. They are:
• East Baton Rouge
• East Carroll
• Pointe Coupee
• St. Charles
• St. James
• St. John
• St. Landry
• St. Martin
• St. Mary
• West Baton Rouge
• West Feliciana
To submit new Request for Public Assistance (RPA) for the above listed Incident:
1. Log on to www.LouisianaPA.com 
2. From the home page click the link titled Submit New RPA (Mississippi River Flooding).
3. From this page,
• Existing applicants;
Will click the Login to your Account link.
After login, click the Submit for a New Disaster link in the Quick Links box on the right of the screen.
A New Disaster Box will open.
In the Copy From field leave on Choose One to start with a blank RPA or select the disaster which contains the RPA to be copied.
In the New Disasters field select the new disaster
Click Start New RPA
• New applicants;
Will click Submit Access Request.
If you are a PNP you will check off this selection and fill out the PNP questionnaire. PNPs are required to submit the following information with their RPA: Tax exempt certificate and organization charter or by laws. These items can be scanned and attached to your RPA.
In the near future GOHSEP will provide additional information regarding the scheduling of Applicant Briefings.
