NBC33 — A federal investigation is underway into 2005- 2007 models of the Ford Freestyle because of potential acceleration problems.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration say 238 complaints have been filed about sudden acceleration.
Officials say the vehicles can move up to ten feet when the driver's foot is not on the gas and is only pressed lightly on the brake.
The investigation involves about 170,000 vehicles.
