LOUISIANA (NBC33) — The Army Corps of Engineers wants to help you stay connected - and they've turned to Facebook for help.
The Corps is using the social networking site as a way of getting pictures and information out to the public. From levee conditions to updates on possible flood areas, they're getting the word out constantly.
They also remind people to stay off the levees. Currently the corps has 72 active levee projects around the state. That includes flood areas, as well as preparations for the beginning of hurricane season.
