April 30, 2011 — BATON ROUGE (NBC33) - Saturday a Baton Rouge soccer team had to make a choice between playing for a title, or attending their senior prom.
The U-8 Strikers looks like their going to easily advance to the next round, but something is hampering their success, the player's high school prom.
For two years now, the finals the strikers have worked for had to either be missed, or played with half a team.
The Louisiana soccer association would love to help them out, but if they amended their schedule, they'd have to do that for over 350 more teams.
Forward Jacob Cotton said they'll do the best they can to advance.
"We're gonna try to do our bestest to move on no matter what, I mean even if we win, we may be shorthanded, we're gonna come out and play the game as tough as we can, see if we can win. " said Cotton
