Taxi fares could rise in the Capitol City

Baton Rouge, La (NBC33) — High gas prices are to blame for a proposal to raise the prices on Baton Rouge cabs.

At the moment, cab fares in the city cost $1.60 per mile.

If the metro council approves the hike, the fare could jump to $2.00 a mile.
