Baton Rouge, La (NBC33) — A doctor in Baton Rouge is looking to save lives, with a different approach to health care.
Doctor Rani Whitfield is known as "Tha Hip Hop Doc" and he's using a new rap video to reach out to women about the real risks of heart disease.
Right now, the disease kills one woman every minute. "Tha Hip Hop Doc" hopes his song will get people moving and make getting healthy fun.
It was all filmed right here in Louisiana and is being shown across the country. "Tha Hip Hop Doc's" next project puts bullying to the beat, with a music video featuring kids from Park Forest Middle School.
