April 17, 2011 — BATON ROUGE (NBC33) - On the grounds of the Old State Capitol Sunday, Baton Rouge celebrated Earth Day.
Whether it was making laurels, learning about coastal clean up, or learning to plant your own herb garden, kids and parents learned about "going green".
There were also recycling themed dances performed by local drumlines, and by local dance troups.
Earth Day President Kathy Wascom has been at Earth Day for over twenty years, and she's thankful for all the support.
"Various organizations, environmental organizations, companies, busnesses the city, they all are in support of making a better place for this city and for our state." said Wascom
