Baton Rouge, La (NBC33) — The beautiful weather this weekend should make things just right for the earth day celebration.
Festival organizers gathered at the old state capitol this morning to detail the plans for the weekend.
Mayor Kip Holden was also on hand to talk about how important earth day is.
"It shows that we are committed to keeping the planet better for the next generation, but at the same time it shows that there's a lot of work that still needs to be done," stated Holden.
The festival here in baton rouge is one of the largest events of its kind in the nation.
NBC33’s Bree Smith and chief meteorologist Jesse Gunkel will be out at the festival on Sunday.
