Baton Rouge, La (NBC33) — BATON ROUGE, La (NBC 33) – April and May have been designated April and May as national and local alcohol awareness months.
In honor of this, O’Brien House, a sober living facility collaborated with local area organizations such as DARE, I-Care, Capital Area Human Services District, as well as local leaders to collaborate on the “Look Beautiful! Be Handsome! Come Home Safe!. The message is to tell high school students that they can have a great time at prom or a party without drinking alcohol.
According to officials, underage drinking cost the state of Louisiana more than one and a half billion dollars back in 2007.
