There is some good news for your pocketbook, especially when it comes to your electric bill. Your energy bill is about to get a lot cheaper! Our Lauren Unger breaks down the numbers.
With home prices down and unemployment up, just getting by has become tough for families across the country. Heide Kruxton says, “I have really watched what I’m buying, things that are not absolutely necessary, they don’t get bought, at least not today.”
But this month there could be good news waiting for you in your mailbox, a lower electricity bill. You should see a 25% drop in your bill compared to last summer. That means the average customer will be paying less than $5 a day for electricity. A saving that can add up.
Then starting in June, another reduction, around $7 to $18 off your monthly bill thanks to a dispute over prices between Entergy and the Louisiana Public Services Commission.
It is a little extra money at a time when it’s needed the most. The extra $7 to $18 off the bill should continue through December of this year.
