Plaquemines Parish President Billy Nungesser is one step closer to running for Lieutenant Governor.
He posted a letter to supporters earlier on April 5, asking for campaign contributions.
He says he's weighing the race against fellow republican Jay Dardenne.
Nungesser says the Lieutenant Governor will be crucial in helping to rebuild the state's image.
