Man arrested for cutting a man in an altercation

Hammond, La (NBC33) — Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff Deputies responded to a disturbance in Hammond on March 29.

During the investigation, deputies learned that Daniel Dematteo and a 24 year old white male were engaged in an argument when Dematteo cut the victim with a knife.

Dematteo was at the scene when deputies arrived and was taken into custody. The victim was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment to his wound and then released.
