Baton Rouge, La (NBC33) — Baton Rouge held its first Irish-Italian parade on March 26.
Red Stick residents lined up and down Burbank and Nicholson to get a peek of this "hybrid" parade.
Each of the floats was green, some of them sporting an Italian flag.
Even though the parade wasn't very large this year, and the turnout wasn't very large, parade goers seemed enthusiastic and caught hoardes of beads.
Jennifer Repp, one of the people on the route, enjoyed herself; however, she also noticed the lack of parade goers.
"I don't think the turnout was going to be that big, cause not that many people know about it. But i hope they keep doing it, so it does end up spreading because I think it will be a lot of fun," stated Repp.
