March 19, 2011 — COVINGTON, LA (NBC33) - St. Paul’s School in Covington held their second annual Crawfish Cook-Off on March 19.
It was a beautiful day at St. Paul’s, filled with space walks, live bands, and of course, all the crawfish you could eat.
Thirty teams competed to be Crawfish Cook-Off champion, but the people that bought tickets to the event were the real winners.
All the proceeds went to Hope House, a charity benefitting abused children, and Cook-Off Chairman Chris Freret said he couldn’t have asked for a better day.
“The first thing is, everybody has fun, I mean if you like to boil crawfish, you like to drink beer, you like a pretty day, you can't beat it", says Freret. "But yes, we want to raise money and give back to the community that St. Paul's has been a part of for over 100 years.”
