Baton Rouge, La (NBC33) — A controversial former Louisiana governor is the subject of an award-winning book.
Leo Honeycutt wrote "Edwin Edwards, Governor of Louisiana - An Authorized Biography. "
The book is the winner of the 2011 Louisiana Literary Award.
The 621-page biography of the flamboyant governor is one of the state's best-selling books of all time. It has sold nearly 50,000 copies to date.
Honeycutt received his award on March 17 in Lafayette.
