SLIDELL, La (NBC33) - A Slidell woman has been arrested with obtaining illegal prescriptions from doctors in the area on March 3.
Louisiana State Police Narcotics detectives charged Linda Leblanc, 63, with 47 counts of Fraudulently Obtaining a Controlled Dangerous Substance, or “doctor shopping” as it’s more commonly referred.
Leblanc visited several doctor’s offices, asking for the same prescriptions from each doctor over the course of eleven months. She went to twelve doctors and twelve different pharmacies, receiving Ambien, Hydrocodone, Meperidine, and Oxycodone from each.
