Baton Rouge, LA (NBC33)- Governor Bobby Jindal announced $12 million dollars in emergency recovery money to help re-build the coast. The funds will be divided up between several different areas: $2 million for oyster beds, $5 million to stabilize the shoreline and another $5 million to add new vegetation and sand fencing to the coastline. Governor Jindal says the State is taking action because BP refuses to give them an answer about when and if they'll provide the funding needed to save the coast. Jindal says BP isn't of the hook-- and he expects the oil giant to pay all of that $12 million dollars at some point.
