BATON ROUGE, La (NBC33) - An accidental shooting that occured on Feb. 2 has led to the arrest of a Baton Rouge man.
On Feb. 24, homicides detectives arrested Jarvize Jarrow, 20, in conjunction with the accidental discharge of a weapon.
While investigating, officers found out that Jarrow was sitting in a vehicle with a few people when he took out a handgun. While handling it, it accidently went off, striking a juvenile passenger in the head.
The other passengers fled the scene, while Jarrow drove to the car to the 5600 block of Frey Street, abandoning the car and the juvenile in it.
He has been charged with Negligent Injury, Illegal Use of a Weapon, and Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon.
