GONZALES, La (NBC33) – A dangerous fugitive is on the loose and the Gonzales Police department needs your help to track him down.
Detectives are tracking down Lawrence Sanders, who is wanted for 1 count Aggravated Kidnapping, Armed Robbery, Carjacking, and Simple Battery.
On January 28, 2011 the Gonzales Police Department was called to the residence of Sanders ex-girlfriend, because shortly after leaving her house, Sanders followed her in another vehicle and then forced himself into her car at gunpoint. She says he then beat her with the gun.
The victim jumped from the car while it was still in motion. She only suffered minor injuries.
The car Sanders was driving was reported stolen and was located not long after the incident was reported. It was found in a parking lot of Henry’s Bar on Cornerview Road in Gonzales.
