This is an NBC33 News update: The man found dead in Scotlandville yesterday, Monday, Jan. 3, has been identified as Terrance Grevious, 38, of Scotlandville. An autopsy shows that Grevious died from a gunshot wound to the head.
This is an NBC33 News Update: Linda McCastle wasn’t expecting the day she experienced yesterday. She was out looking for toys, but instead, she found a dead body in a bush.
McCastle found the body around 4:00 p.m. just outside her home in Scotlandville. She says her kids misplaced some of their Christmas toys, so she looked in a big bush. That’s where she found the dead body.
“As I went and looked for it, I looked in that grass and I spotted a dead body, and I in turn got on the phone and I called my neighbor and called the police to see what was wrong,” McCastle told NBC33 News, who was first on the scene.
Baton Rouge Police Detectives believe the body has been there for at least two days, and they believe the man was murdered. No identity has been made, or cause of death determined.

SCOTLANDVILLE, La (NBC33) – A body was found in Scotlandville about an hour ago in a residential neighborhood.
The body of a male was found by a resident in the area. The body shows signs that it’s been there for at least a day or two.
The Baton Rouge Police Department is currently investigating and has determined the case as an apparent homicide.
