BATON ROUGE, La (NBC33) - December 25, 2010 - On Christmas day, volunteers at St Vincent de Paul showed the true spirit of the season.
Today the dining room of St. Vincent de Paul felt like the most packed restaurant in town. The line of people coming to get a hot meal for christmas extended around the block.
Volunteers told NBC 33 this Christmas dinner has been served for over twenty years, and more kept coming in on their Christmas day to help feed the needy.
These volunteers are people like Nicolette Taku, who was in the dining room today serving meals before she even got to open her own presents.
