BATON ROUGE, La (NBC33) – Celebrating the holiday is a great idea, but it’s made even better when you’re Jammin’ for Jammies!
Tonight at Boudreaux and Thibodeaux’s on Third Street in downtown Baton Rouge, there will be a special kind of party. The price of admission; a new, unused pair of pajamas.
All of the donations will be given to the kids at Our Lady of the Lake Hospital.
“In general, we’re a business, but we like to give back when we can. This is one cool way we can do that,” Sean Malone, Managing Partner of Boudreaux and Thibodeaux’s and Fire Belly Concepts, said about the reason for putting on the event tonight. “The kids usually get a lot of toys for Christmas, but they have to open them while in their hospital gowns. We thought this would be a fun way to help them feel more at home.”
Additional donations will go to area battered women’s shelters.
If you don’t have time to make it to the store to buy a pair of PJ’s, you can still attend the event. Malone says they have several different types of pajamas that you can purchase tonight for the donation.
Doors open at 8 p.m., and musical performer Mayham Brown is set to hit the stage around 10 p.m. Those attending area also encouraged to wear pajamas to celebrate the night.
