BATON ROUGE, La (NBC33) – The man known as one of the most prolific traders of child pornography in the country is arrested in Louisiana today, Tuesday, Dec. 21.
Gregory Blackburn, 61, of Mansfield, La. was arrested by State Police in a joint investigation with Desoto Parish Detectives and Pennsylvania State Police.
Today, State Police Colonel Mike Edmonson said in a press conference that Blackburn is the largest trader of child pornography in the state of Louisiana.
“There’s nothing more sickening to me as an adult as to why someone would want to look at a small child,” he said publicly at the Louisiana State Police Headquarters located on Independence Blvd in Baton Rouge. “I don’t get that. And at some point they are going to want to stop looking at pictures.”
The investigation was conducted under the Louisiana State Police Operation Child Watch initiative.
