BATON ROUGE, La (NBC33) - The LSU Men's Basketball team didn't have a game Monday but the Tigers remained busy. Coach Trent Johnson and his team spent part of the day at Our Lady of the Lake Medical Center popping in and out of the rooms in the children’s ward. The team gave gifts and sang Christmas carols to many kids in the hospital.
"We're in a position where we can bring some joy to a few kids’ lives and that’s the most important thing. But I don’t think people realize the impact situations like this have on players and coaches alike," Coach Johnson said.
The Tigers resume their non-conference schedule on Wednesday as they face North Texas at 7 p.m. in the Maravich Center.
